Mohammad F. Fazili, MD
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and
Pulmonary Medicine, VUMC, Director, Pediatric Bronchoscopy Program
Dr. Fazili is a graduate of Nishtar Medical College in Pakistan and completed his pediatric residency at
Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at
Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio. His interests are pediatric pulmonary medicine and sleep disorders
in children. Dr. Fazili is board certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Starting in 2007, Mr. Fisher has been in several positions at Children’s Hospital, including Pediatric Critical
Team Member, Lead RRT for the Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Team, and Instructor for the Pediatric
Advanced Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Airway Management course. Currently, he serves as the
Respiratory Care Clinical Educator for the Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care Departments. Mr. Fisher
has been instrumental in helping formalize and track asthma education given to children admitted to
Children’s Hospital for asthma as well as translating the “You Have Asthma” educational booklet into an
app for phones and tablets.
Alison G. Grisso, Pharm.D.
Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist; Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt
Dr. Grisso graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy
in Memphis followed by a first year pharmacy residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and a second
year residency at Vanderbilt Children’s. She has been at Vanderbilt Children’s for over 15 years serving as
the clinical pharmacist in a variety of areas including NICU, PCCU and General Pediatrics. Throughout her
time, she has been a member of the pulmonary team helping patients with asthma, CF and other
pulmonary disorders manage their medications.
Girish Hiremath, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Monroe
Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt
Dr. Hiremath, a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist, completed his fellowship in pediatric
Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas and received his MPH
at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. His clinical and research interests are focused on eosinophilic
gastrointestinal disorders and has received funding from the American College of Gastroenterology
and training awards from the NIH.
Paul E. Moore, MD
Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pharmacology; Director, Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and
Pulmonary Medicine and Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs, Department of Pediatrics,
Vanderbilt University Medical Center
Paul Moore is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Harvard Medical School. He continued his training
in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonary at Children’s Hospital, Boston, where he first became interested
in genetic and molecular mechanisms that contribute to asthma. He was recruited to Vanderbilt in
2001 and became the Director of the Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonary
Medicine in 2010. He remains interested in asthma and is a co-investigator on NIH-funded
studies trying to understand how prematurity impacts the development of asthma.
Dr. Moore is a founding member of the TN Asthma Coalition.
