Memphis through Partnership)


Dr. Michael, board certified in Allergy and Immunology, received her undergraduate
degree at Vanderbilt University and completed her residency in Medicine
and Pediatrics at the University of TN and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, both in
Memphis. She completed her fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and
Immunology also at UT in Memphis. She helped start the CHAMP program and in
2012 CHAMP was awarded a $2.9 million CMS Innovation Grant. In 2015 EPA
recognized the Le Bonheur CHAMP program as the Health Care Provider winner of

the National EPA Leadership Award. This award celebrates the outstanding
programs and leader who are improving the lives of people with asthma by
delivering strong environmental asthma management as part of their
comprehensive asthma care services.
